For Immediate Release:
Christopher (Chris) J. Snyder, 21, of 146 Knox Road, McLeansville, NC 27301 was in a Severe Accident on March 16, 2008. He sustained extensive head injuries/brain damage. He was air lifted to Pit Memorial Hospital Trauma Center, Greenville, N.C. Where he remained unconscious in very critical condition on life support for almost three weeks. Saturday, April 5, 2008 he was transported to Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, N.C. to be near his home. He is receiving excellent care at Cone where he will undergo extensive rehabilitation. He has regained conscientiousness but does not know who, what, when, where, why, or how. Rehabilitation will take a long time. The doctors are saying up to a year or more. Let us all pray for a timely recovery. Though he has some insurance coverage the financial strain on him and his family will be horrendous.
Many of you in the Boer Goat world may remember Chris as the young man that assisted me and showed goats for me for several years. He was my buddy, my friend, and became like a son to Blanche and me. So, his illness is more than a real blow to us.
At the RINGWOOD ACRES Boer Goat herd dispersal sale at my farm on Saturday, May 17th we will have a concession stand serving a wide array of food and drink all day. The Net proceeds from this concession WILL BE GIVEN TO CHRIS/His Family. So, mark your calendar, come early, come hungry, stay late and purchase a lot of consumables at the concession stand. There will also be a jar for contributions and a box to collect your get well wishes.
Of course you may send get well wishes to his home or to Moses H. Cone Hospital. And, above all keep Chris and his family in your prayers. Pray for a swift and complete recovery.
God Bless,
Curtis J. Ring
